Great Motivation is only $60 away

April 18, 2009

The Nike+ system is something I’ve written about before – actually two times.  In the video below I pretty much give the same info.  What’s new?  Well, the High Def YouTube video of course!  Plus my melodious voice and artistic hand modelling.  Enjoy!

There are some other great options with more bells and whistles other than the Nike+.  Garmin has the Forerunner 405 as well as their 305 model.  Which system do you use or site that helps motivate you and track your runs?  Please share!

Well, I’m back especially after the cliff hanger you left me with, I’ll have to keep checking to see what you will run next.
So I watched the video to check out the Nike+, I’ve never used any type of technology to track time or to motivate my runs but this does look like fun and I do have an iphone so it would be easy to check with. I started out with just running on a time system … 30 ins, an hour then increasing my long runs until I was at 3 hours 30 mins. I had to evaluate if I could face another hour from there and I thought I could so not long after that – ran my first marathon in 4 hours 20 mins. The motivation was to finish and accomplish something new, get the shirt and the medal! Ok so now I will have to check out this cool new gadget just to see what it does!

Impressive marathon time at 4:20! Very nice! Which marathon was that? My first was in Chicago. Loved the marathon in Chicago. I wish the training technology today was around then – that was almost 10 years ago!
